I have also one review done, but it was ment to be out of the draw. I'm going to publish the reviews this week.

Anyway, this was a test - and now we know how it succeed. The expectations were not high, but of course this feels a bit let down anyway when we even had some prizes (!). I don't know how this should have be done differently.

Well, lets move on.

Consider my submission out of the draw, too (calling it "a draw" at the present situation is out of place anyway). That's not what it meant to be.

Yeah I agree. Sorry my confusing post - I originally ment that we've got your review - my review is also done of course as I said later. The draw is not that big thing, of course.

We have one review here, thanks to you Krizz. So, it seems reviewing or giving feedback is not interesting. Confused

I just thought to ask "how many reviews you got?".

Assuming that the term is correct: ... one member of this forum wrote that it feels awkward to write some review of other musician. Madonna does not review U2 or vice versa.

Then it means that most of forum readers here are composing music.

Well, but how many Laserdance album reviews I should wrote? Smile

This means -- If you will get second place/prize, not bad. Wink Otherwise just only one contestant and he will get the first prize.

Your post wasn't confusing - I've got it right. I just don't want any "prize" in this situation. That would look almost like I was rewarding myself.

Ohh, what a nice excuse Neutral Madonna and U2 have enough reviews from thousands of sources so they do not need to review themselves - we're definitely NOT in such convenient situation. We have to play double roles - there is no other way to hold the small community we are. It's all the matter of self distance - if you're distanced to yourself enough, there shouldn't be any problem with praising or bashing music of other musicians. What business I have in praising Dreamtime's music? None - I just love it. Why not expressing it?

Good attitud if it should work with others too.
But this review day showed that we are NOT distancing ourself enough so much IN ORDER TO HOLD TOGETHER community.

So far its quite simpler to post if liked something and what about it.

P.S.: I have reviewed or __tried__ to review in the past Hypersound Volume collector box, but this review was rejected in the past "naah, they will be angry, you should be afraid, I am afraid to publish it blablabla. it has to be something to learn".
I got enough about that attitude -- "there is no review than positive and dishonest review" or on other side it will be nothing than hype.

P.P.S.: We had several problems with reviews in the past when Humphrey double played himself here behind 10 aliases, and do someone remember what caused some negative opinions?
Well, now he has gone for good, but we still have the same mentality around here.
If he have seen those "debatts" between AC and SSR then You can just imagine what will happen if someone from SpaceSoundRecords reviews with "constructive critic" AlphaCentauriRecords (or vice versa), and the other side just dont get it as a lesson to learn instead to "strike back" with another negative review.

Well, wait a minute... Does someone will review another authors music who is at the same label?

(c'mon, you can bash now, 2 hours writing time and there after you can try to understand 1.) what actually I wrote; and 2) what I actually MEANT with my words.
I will watch "Never Ending Story 2")

That me you're talking about. I don't care if you like it or not, it's my decision. As far as all others are concerned I guess they just don't find it worth their time to write reviews. Not very suprising.

Now we have tried this way, and the result seems to be confirming the fact we have seen here already in the past. Nothing new, not that surprising in the end. Yes, I hoped a bit different result. But whatever the reasons are, people choosed not to do reviews. Time issues? Artistic decisions? Fearing something? Whatever the reasons are, you can't force or attract anyone doing reviews if they don't or can't do it. This was a test, and here is the result. There's no reason to start any debate about this.

Not a very surprising result if you ask me, but it's comforting to see that I don't hold a monopoly on launching group projects that don't render any group activity... Aliens from Outerspace
