Long? I don't think it is a long time to answer you the same day than you made your post. |
Dont try to fool me.
YOU AVOIDED! |
Calm down, no need to shout and don't make false accusations against me. I warn you.
Too bad, if you don't accept my answer because I was telling the honest truth!
From the bottom of my heart, I did not avoid. I just waited Prometheus answering first, because it was his game and rules. I couldn't personally remember the details, it is two years ago after all. This is all I can say now, come on! Let it be, accept it or not. |
why dont you say so it in first place so when you already answered in first place on that another thread?
Then I would not had repeated the question there or no need to point links to another thread.
well if you say that you waited Prometheus answer, that can explain, but not Your "Long? we have enough day for answering" while you answer for just one specific topic multiple times, and not answering to another topic. |

Alex, you are being unreasonable. Feels like you have an inner compulsion to blame somebody. I think Saul and the team have generally done good job at moderating and being an ex-admin myself I sure can sympathize. Try to think for a second and see things from their perspective.
Try to find that positive attitude you once had. Things here haven't changed as much as you think they have. _________________ faroutmusic.net | soundcloud.com/dreamtime-music |

If thats true what you are writing here (havent changed here so much, I was positive back then) , then it means just one thing -- It was and still is all fake and illusion here!
So that back then I was just naive and and did not saw negative sides becouse I had my eyes closed. |

Aleks, I know what you mean by people not being completely honest. We live in a world of white lies, of social manipulation, of intellectual dishonesty. I appreciate that you are being true and honest about how you feel about things. Please, continue, it's very interesting to read your perspectives and experiences. I personally value that much more than silence, especially if that silence is due to attitudes of just passively sitting around and reading what others have to say, or consume what others have produced (without even giving some feedback, to the negative experience of those who crave it).
That project back in 2010 was experimental by nature. Not a pre-manufactured, pre-staged kind of experiment, but the let's-see-what-happens kind of experiment. I didn't know what to expect and therefore I also didn't want to impose too rigid rules and standards. In retrospect, the perspectives you share here prove to me that there was a lot of room for improvement in my communication department. Even today I don't seem to make myself understood, and I obviously need to polish on my writing a bit further:

was based on a public part and a private part. Maybe this wasn't properly communicated, causing actual or potential misunderstandings.
|
what is that supposed to mean ?!!
It was not said so at all this way in the beginning.
|
You're correct: it was obviously not properly communicated in the beginning. Let's take a look at the original words in this thread again (first post):
| Quote: |
3. "Final mixdowns would be the creative field of anybody interested, resulting from his/her skills and preferences concerning gear, instruments, effects or combination & editing of midi parts (including scale transformations, note transposing and so on)."
|
What I should have written more explicit here is that final mixdowns (observe the plural 's' and the implications of that statement) wouldn't be exclusively limited to use only available public pool data. The "so on" in the editing of midi parts would include more explicit new parts that the producer wanted to add. Also it should have been better communicated that producers were expected to produce at any time they so choose, that they didn't need to ask for somebody's OK to proceed with any form of production, and that the production itself was a private matter as in "It's nobody else's business how I produce MY version of the track, including which other people I involve in that process".
I should have made it more clear that the central theme and purpose of this project was not to build another manifestation of social constructivism ("We are the Borg"), but rather to expose what happens when individual minds pool some creative and unexpected resources together and then select (on their own judgement, not voting it through Borg Reichstag) some portions of such pool to build new productions and new structures.
Now, since you were not satisfied with the outcome of my poor communication skills, nor the way this project was put to sleep, I offer to truly re-animate this thread (as opposed to just blow away some perceived dust of it). I offer to rewind the tape and take off again from where it obviously went wrong, and take a new shot at the previous longtrack according to your rules and expectations (within the limits of the reasonable and possible).
The track I previously produced was approximately 90% my work, 9% Saul's and 1% yours. Rest assured, I would be happy to change that into a more equally distributed effort. I don't actually regard this project as officially "finished", since technically I had expected different productions from different producers, not just the version I rendered.
Let me know what you think about that. _________________ Eppur si muove |

Yes, I like to start the fire,
I do it for sure.
It keeps me warm and gives strength to still be true me during heartless days and in careless places. /Aleks 2012
These last days what I have been in this forum was like reading last pages of book in a foreign language and feeling that I begin to get somewhere in understanding whats really happening in forum and in this community etc... its far from amusing
But well... I feel _happy_ with it -- but only becouse I solved several things for me and its over.
I am happy that I have solved those things which seemed to me weird, out of place, odd. I am not a fan of it what happens here.
But it does not mean that its a entirely bad place becouse many have still it very good here and are happy with it. Its just me who dont fit right in here and thats all becouse I just have other lifestyle and thats all. Here its just like a aristocrates lifestyle who speak in one way good, and other way do it bad, and at backstabing they have smile on their face.
So I guess its ok what you do here and its all of your own style, but thanks no thanks, I have my own way and I take just step aside. I'm lucky and feeling much easier that I have understood and can just let it go in peace and with no hard feelings.
I just need to find those who are like me and its not easy.
hm, now I read what Prometheus wrote here...
What you are talking Prometheus... yes indeed, what you mean about "white lies" is perhaps selective honesty. I avoid those people in every way I only could and prefer to be alone instead of being with those. I repeatedly forget that it exists. In some way I am even thankful for those "reminders" around here which are like saying "its not what it looks like", otherwise I would have here many friends but thousand times more problems.
Thanks for that tape rewinding, but I dont feel like participating in it. But good luck to other fellows. "Come on, gentlemen!" will do it and and its up to other fellows to do it (Krizz, Lauri, Staffan, Saul or perhaps someone new too). |

I _am_ satisfied now. I see that you really try actually. But I came to my own conclusion too and I am happy that I finally understood some elements in this community and forum how it is functioning and was ticking before.
Peace, Baby! *grin*
Also in this case of re-animation of that longtrack does not as much good as expected. It would be better that anyone will just do music itself as they will and not becouse of apology or something. Thats all. |

| Aleks ...thought Id give my tuppence worth - which to be fair is only a spectator! ...yes im one of those who simply listens - to both the music here and the posts here.....sadly I have no music to offer, I only listen in wonder to the amazing pieces of music you and the others create....You are blessed to be able to create such amazing tunes! ...its a strange site in a way because it has people like yourself who CAN make music (100% give), and people like me who can offer nothing (0% give) ...I cant see how that could change? ...I can write "thanks for posting that tune it was great" but nothing else....Id feel a bit bad going "thanks for posting your tune but it was rubbish" : ) hehe.....All id say is.....for better or worse people DO visit this site often and DO love the music you guys make, and I mean that.....dont let a few bad things stop you being creative and making the music we call and love "spacesynth" . maybe this experience could make you want to make a cool ambeiente tune!? |
