So.... Which combo is the "original spacesynth orc hit", if you were to generate them using the aforementioned Orc hit VSTi ? Or is there another VSTi for them?

there is no vst (really no plug in that have this great orc hit!)

laserdance and other spacesoundproducer
have orc hits from some hardwaresynths

but here is a link u can get the original from laserdance etc. and other samples
it was from the roland u 220

Wavestation, did you try the Orch hit vst that was mentioned on the previous page?

I thought the VST was nice but I found out that it didn't save the settings (at least on Cubase 6). So everytime I reopened my project the Orch hit VST was reset.

If you are looking for that You&Me orch hit, why not just sample it.

hi LauriT
i tryed. but the best samples are from real hardwaresynths. also i make some hits with sampling cd´s with oversampling (2-3 hits layered)
and the hits from the u220 are very well

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

So i tried messing with the orc hits but they sounded quite trashy. I guess I'd need a a synthesizer to produce these directly? Or am I missing something? I added some reverb and it sounded better but it still isn't of "high" quality. Here's a short sample in which the first sequence of orc hits is produced using 2 different samples and then I just put the same notes using samples from the link above.:

Hello, the version is 1.4, but it seems it is impossible to get it anywhere anymore. Maybe it is time to update the patch.

One easy way to do similar kind of patch with your P8 is to select "Pop Chords" patch and tweak Cutoff to max and Reso to max on both Filter1 & Filter2.

TAL has released the chorus fx of U-NO-LX as an individual plugin. It has that lush and wide Roland sound. It's free. http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-chorus-lx

Wave Alchemy has released a Kontakt based instrument called Digital Revolution. It seems pretty cool.
