There is a problem with the P8 that makes is not so well suited for spacesynth bass. If many detuned waves are used together there can be interferences so that it sometimes sounds to loud and sometimes to quiet. It is a general problem with synth-edit synths, that they don't have a consistent volume, so they don't work well for basses. This is at least how they behave in FL-studio. Maybe there is some way to fix this, but I don't know how.

Synth1 is better suited for spacesynth-bass. It's easy to make a bass with Synth1 that sounds as good as the P8-bass, but that don't have the problems of the P8.

Im not here about tip in juno basses ... my 6 year old soon knows how to tweak junos..heehheee
Im here to tell a story about best bass synth for LD and any fast sequencing BASS for disco music....and it coast about 100 Euros on ebay from time to time...ITS CALLED CONTROL SYNTHESIS DEEP BASS NINE..

Here are reasons why that little 1 HU rack rocks....
Its basicly TB Clone but with different sound and same programming control,
Its punchy and maybe faster envelopes than MINIMOOG...HAVE THAT IN MIND....JUNO 60 have hardware EG and Juno 106 have software EG wich are slower...
DB9 use CEM 3340 VCO wich is used in P5, JP6, SH101, OBXa, MKS80,Memorymog...... so you know that FAT VCO
DB9 use original MOOG TRANSISTOR LADER FILTER WITH MACHED PAIRs................That makes BASS BIIIG AND PHATTTTTTTT
DB9 have analog VCA and EG..............so that 100% analog Bass machine ..No DCO Here or....
DB9 is midi2cv and cv2midi converter
DB9 is analog controled Filter box so you can put some sounds thru that vcf and make sound fat.......

Im telling you this becouse its going for 100euros on ebay......and can make your music really a lot better sounding

and.....no pc, mac or digital junk can sound like analog and this analog sound best than any analog for that phatt fast LASERDANCE sequnced bass..

Strange ! I just tried it and it works fine both with I.E 6.0 and Mozilla Firefox. Just click on the red link and it will automatically ask you to play or save.
Please try again , otherwise I can send it to you (its only 160 kb). Good luck !!

Thank you for the mail. In my experience it's only possible to judge a bass when it is played together with other instruments. I've put your mp3-file into fruity slicer in FL-studio and added some more sounds. The bass works for making music, but it's not perfect. Maybe it is to dark. The fact that it works proves thats it quite okey. Most bass-sounds I have tried have been totally useless.

I used a very similar bass sound in my tune 'No Remorse'. Although it's not a Juno I like its metallic tone.
