The sample did not play on my iPad, but I download it on laptop now.

But no this is not an M1 preset.
I use a sample for this sound, I will try to post it here tomorrow.

I use the sample in Logic esx sampler and use platinum reverb to stretch the sound, and stereo reverb (1/8 note dotted) for the spacesynth echo. I think it sounds oke, but is not as the original sound Sad

its the one from koto - minoan war you probably have it too i think.

i'd try and guess that patch is from an emu synth some callypso patch or something that mallet / percussive sound

i read some interview in this website and i found out the gear they used for proxyon

Drums - Linn LM2, Roland 808 / Akai MPC 60

Bass line - Roland Juno 106 / Yamaha Fb01

Strings - Roland Juno 106

Melodies (leads, chords etc.) - Oberheim Obx-a / Korg M1 / Korg Polysix / Roland Super Jx10 / Emulator Emax / Ensoniq Esq1

Effects - Yamaha Rev 5000 and Korg delay

Fostex - DR 16 (16 track tape recorder)

Mixer - D&R

this was the info that the other guy that supposedly worked on proxyon album gave , he also said he was used on laserdance stuff so its probably from a korg m1 or a super jx10 if its a rompler , its probably one of that list . there wasnt much else available back in the 80s but im not gonna obsess about that sound anymore .

yea definatly emax , it sounds very rompish ill explain why :
in some songs when michiel done the sequence you can hear that when he hitted some keys the sound sounded a bit different (sampled)

anyways heres where i found the gear in this interview with Rob. ive been listening to proxyon i really love the first two albums and i thought michiel done it which he did. found it weird this guy rob being credited for it on discogs (in the actual record). anyways heres the link :

Hello.
I have question about Percussion in laserdance, proxyon, Koto projects on albums made from 90s.
Percussion in first albums made on LIndrum. From 1990 in albums like "CHanging times" Ambiente" or Proxyon's "Interplanetary mission" etc, perc is has different kicks, hihats and snares.
I don't know Which instrument does the sound of percussion come from?
I want to find samples of this.
regards Smile
