used to be a fan of trance music, and still now....i feel very sad for the genre, seeing how it gone downhill, especially progressive and uplifiting, how those 2 subgenre have been deformed into something uglier Sad

one thing i feel really irritating when listening to trance is the repetitive, the melody usually generic and simple

so here, i made a uplifting track to have some nostalgia, what do you think?

Ok man had a wee listen . Sorry dude it's really not much of my cup of tea Bored some melodies are ok tho.
Please don't be sad , offended or demotivated just being honest . I like your square lead melody. Sounds a bit game-ish and the pads are nice but apart from that there's not much else. Some melodies have that japanese chinese feel ... most of it actually does and some reminds me of Revenge of the Shinobi the first stage at night you know? Smile .Why don't you try and make acid for a start? Good melodies and acid are always best imo. But i'd suggest try making acid for starters. If you want of course.

btw Butterfly Mastermind .. totally boss theme tune.

no problem,if not your taste! but i just use good-old uplifting standard from early 2000,but for the acid matter you say, nah...i think you can't apply goa trance standard to uplifiting, sound pretty weird Smile , my purpose for rich powerful melody and trancey!

i have a dream compose my own trance for a long time, now i'm just trying to make this dream come true,, plus with my style to create something new unique, fresh ear to the scene, look at a bunch of trance music on big records like Armada,Spinning..... nowadays, they sound so generic, bland Sad

wow, of course, i still can't escape from chinese/japanese eastern you just said, but for me, i don't like repetitive,i must write a consequence of good melodies Smile maybe i have to invest my time into knowing western melody standard Surprised

cool! good to know that its remind you of Revenge of the Shinobi, i never play this game before, but my EP i will name it Revenge of the Geese! Smile

It doesn't strike me as "uplifting", but I do like this a lot. Feels more mysterious and spacey to me. I listen to repetitive trance sometimes, but I definitely prefer trance that's more melodic.

i like it too but this is really gameish dude and these two songs you posted are not the kind of trance im into. i rather listen to acid trance like Formic acid and early Kai Tracid stuff , Bassline Baby among others , some hard trance very melodic , old goa stuff and dream trance too of course , Robert Miles anyone?

check this one Proxyma - Other Worlds mega classic song

and your song title dude , did my new album influence you somehow? lol

well yea lol it's good of be of good influence. good clues lol man i could've copied your titles aswel like the Merciless Purification but that's cheap imo so i didn't. I'd rather come up with my own stuff and that song is yours anyways not mine. But sure whatever floats your boat dude lol . Smile Tag along lol Smile

I've noticed today that Metallica has a song with same title as the album i've made which is funny because i had no idea of it and their lyrics are outstanding but i didnt do it because of them or anybody else.

Also man , you love game music check Maniacs of Noise by Jeroen Tel . The man is a legend.
Also his project with Tess is brilliant and ingenious.

https://soundcloud.com/tess-and-tel/tess-tel-dream-just-dream

Story behind the song:
"Dream Just Dream" is about following your dreams, to see your opportunities and grasp them. Using our own lives as a reflection, we wrote this song to not only inspire others, but also ourselves. The message is to do what you love, using your gift, waking up and following your dream. Dream, just dream...

Many pop artists would love to the level of where he is and many others... altho you only see he's got like 100 odd followers. He's good i'm Tel-lling you Wink

anyways bro im glad my stuff inspired you. theres a lot more i got lots of asian stuff.
