A lot of good spacesynth music were made for the demo scene back in the 80s and 90s even though the sound quality wasn't as good as the music that is made today. Here are some examples of good spacesynth music that were made for some Amiga/Atari demos:

Enigma by Phenomena (Music by firefox and Tip)

Macrocosm by High Fidelity Dreams - Aura

Seven signs by Scoopex

If you know some good spacesynth music from the demo scene then feel free to share them with us.

Awsome stuff! I noticed something about chip musicians. About the way they compose, many of them create bad music, lack of composing etc. But the Italo fans, they compose on the Italo style. Thats really great! Im still interested in Chip Music, just great man. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks for the tips, I had only heard one of those before Bulls Eye Here are a couple more:

Skaven/ Purple Motion - Second Reality

Laxity - Desert Dream part I (original by Kefrens)

These ones are closer to Huib Schipper's music than that of Michiel van der Kuy..

Ciao!

The melodies and harmonies in those songs are very good, even though the sound quality is quite low. Do they make songs like these in the demo scene today or is it just pure techno/trance ?

I haven't been following the trend really so can't say. But I'd believe that modern demos have pretty diverse music.

Some year ago I downloaded a couple of gfx demos for the PC to see what kind of result they can get nowadays. The result was good but my computer went weird after that and I had problem to boot after I had looked at one of the demos. I assume that the demo changed something in the boot block that I didn't succeed to repair. So I had to reinstall everything from the beginning and after that I haven't downloaded any more gfx demos. Now when we have YouTube it is much easier to look at these demos.

Hehe, that's a pretty vicious demo.

Second Reality which is mentioned here has some fantastic music too.
