Nice one, Sakke.

Regarding Pinball Dreams/Fantasies, those really push Amiga chip to its boundaries. When you load the music into a tracker and see the techniques Olof Gustafsson used you have to appreciate his work.

Btw, he remixed both Dreams and Fantasies for Immortal 3. And the remixes are great as well.

A lot of good spacesynth music were made for the demo scene back in the 80s and 90s even though the sound quality wasn't as good as the music that is made today. Here are some examples of good spacesynth music that were made for some Amiga/Atari demos:

Heeey, some parts here sound a lot like the outro theme from this game soundtrack I have around on .mod, by this Joe Nash guy. Is he behind either of the pseudonyms?

Ok, not so spacesynthish here either, but to me one of the favorites from Amiga era was (and still is) Pinball Dreams' soundtrack composed by Olof Gustafsson. Absolutely fabulous. When I got that game a long time ago my ears dropped down to the floor... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KGWqXo28zM

And this is a familiar piece from a different context too. It was also used in the Mac shareware RPG Realmz, in one dungeon level IIRC. (It had the option to use any random .mods as BGM, I don't think any of them were written specifically for the game…)

Much other good music in this thred too.

I heard a lot of commodore synth stuff on YT, and it was pretty nice. I know you can find a lot of it.

That is really good site, but unfortunately the ftp server isn't usually working when trying to upload some stuff into it (it still lacks lots of mods.) Wink

Modarchive.org is great one too (to me number uno.) I guess it has the biggest online module archive.

By the way, I've made module music in the 90's too (four channel Amiga modules only). Ain't proud of most I've done but I just searched if I had made some spacesynth like music back in the day. Never done it on purpose (I didn't even know about spacesynth), but surprisingly many elements sounds a lot like contemporart spacesynth music. I guess I was influenced by some of the music there.

Here are the most spacesynth like mods by Stamen (more modscene than demoscene thought). Sorry about the quality drop of the topic. Made around 1995-1999. Smile : Link.

I always liked the Jaguar XJ220 title theme. Not so spacesynth'ish - but what a bassline. Composed by Nuke (Martin Iveson):

That baseline reminds me of the theme for Seinfeld. Must be a Korg M1 sample!

Can't find it on the web now but one of my fav's are Björn Lynne's track "Project X2 (Remix)". Very space-synth-ish, uptempo and happy Smile

Is it based on Allister Brimble's Project X theme (posted earlier by Staffan in this thread) ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpcO2yMxO3U
