- I like Hans Zimmer's dynamic style and the way he has combined electronic music with classic orchestral arrangements.
- One of my favorites is Jerry Goldsmith. His score for the original version of Planet of the Apes is very eerie.
- Danny Elfman and the music he has composed for Tim Burton movies
- The Goblin and the progressive rock music they scored for Suspiria, Phenomena, Dawn of the Dead etc. Awesome stuff.
- John Carpenter who is mostly known as a director has also composed music for many of his films. Great electronic stuff with Linn Drums and everything Smile
- Ennio Morricone, Basil Poledouris, Vangelis, Angelo Badalamenti ..

I think that piece would be great to put in many movies.

I've been listening to this virtually non-stop since last night when I visited the YouTube video. Fantastic song! Thanks for the tip. Smile

Also, welcome back to the forums. Smile

Yes, I know the feeling... I listened to that track (the extended version) probably 10-12 hours straight. I never get tired of it! Smile

(Thanks for the welcome.)

John Harrison's score for Day of the Dead is worth checking out.

Lots of Linndrum. Very laid back. Has that 80s atmospheric synth feel.

That's one of the great synthesizer soundtracks! Especially "The Dead Walk" & "Escape Invasion" sounds a lot like Laserdance. Razz

Here is a great electronic music soundtrack from a romanian movie, called "RINGUL" (The Ring"-1984). Music is composed by Adrian Enescu, which is one of the most famous film music composers and one of the pioneers of synthesizers in Romania.
I think many of you would like this.
